I live in San Telmo. There are a lot of things to do in my neighborhood. It is a historic neighborhood. There are old houses in my neighboorhood There are bars and restaurants in my neighboorhood There are two squares and a park in my neighboorhood. There are librerys and museums in my neighboorhood. There is a police office and a fire station too in my neighboorhood. There is the best school in my neighboorhood, The Hipolito Vieytes school There are banks and supermarkets in my neighboorhood

There is (singular)/ There are(plural) significa HAY por eso podrías decir: There are a lot of schools in my neighborhood but the best school is....... I love my neighborhood!!!! (Recordá que los signos de exclamación o pregunta sólo se usan al final de las oraciones en inglés)
